FECCLAHA
FECCLAHA is a regional ecumenical fellowship working across the Great Lakes and Horn of Africa to promote justice, sustainable peace, and development through advocacy, capacity building, and partnerships.
When communities are displaced, lose their livelihoods, or face environmental harm because of business activities, where do they turn for justice?
For many, the path to remedy is unclear, inaccessible, or simply out of reach.
Yet access to remedy is a fundamental part of protecting human rights and ensuring accountability.
A new guidance note is coming; exploring how faith actors can help strengthen community-driven grievance mechanisms and support affected communities in their pursuit of justice.
The note has been developed by Swedwatch , Svenska kyrkan (Act Church of Sweden), FECCLAHA , and Christian Council of Tanzania (CCT)

There are goodbyes that feel less like endings and more like celebrations of shared journeys, memories, and family.
Today, we took a moment to celebrate the time spent by one of our own, Béni Stéphane Yere, a colleague and friend who has been part of our team as a fellow for close to two years. Coming from Côte d’Ivoire, he joined us eager to learn, and over time became a valued part of our community through his humility, dedication, kindness, and deep love for God.
“When I came here, I didn’t know much, and now I have found family and friends here. I feel like I have been in the right place, where I belong. You have all been a blessing, and I will never forget it. May God bless you all and your families.” - Stéphane
Stéphane, even though we will miss you here at FECCLAHA, this is not farewell.
"..The Lord bless you and keep you;
the Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you;
the Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace..” Numbers 6:24-26
We wish Stéphane God’s guidance, favour, and success in the journey ahead. Once FECCLAHA family, always FECCLAHA family. 🧡

Ever wondered how to use the FECCLAHA Tamar Campaign contextualised Bible Study Guide?
It starts with a conversation.
Pick a topic. Gather your group. Read together. Reflect honestly. Discuss the realities in your community and the role faith can play in ending Gender-Based Violence.
The Tamar Guide is more than a Bible study resource, it is a tool for advocacy, healing, awareness, and action.
This Thursday, we invite you to engage with the guide and share your reflections, lessons, artwork, or discussion outcomes with FECCLAHA. Your voice could inspire another community to break the silence.
Together, we can build faith communities that speak up, support survivors, and stand for justice.
