or communities through Father Grol and Father Jabiu. The project initially was designed to train and assist destitute children for Mathare Valley Community and other slum area. The assistance included provision of basic education to destitute children, provision of skills for self reliance, assistance to the trained youths to effectively settle into gainful self employment.
#Undugu_Society_of_Kenya withdrew from Mathare Youth Polytechnic in 1983 and the Community took over the Institution under the Ministry of Culture and Social Services.
