When a loved one dies, there are several layers of losses. You will lose the person who has departed and you must grieve over that. You will lose the person you were when your loved one was alive and you will weep over that too. This will confuse you as you seek to piece together the new you that must solider on.

Happy Heavenly Birthday Mum. One clear lesson stands out for me, as long as you have strength, resilience, audacity, wisdom, fierce love and truth. An undiscoverd ocean can only be seen and sailed by those bold enough to charter the unknown.

Thank you for everything you did for us, the gratitude is beyond measure and its funny how every lecturer you released would be a life lesson to remember. You loved us the way you know best and that's all that matters now. I now understand the sacrifices a parent makes to ensure your children deserve the best and you did it unconditionally. I'm lucky to have witnessed the powerful woman you were and we shall keep your memory alive through remembrance & every action we take. Love you mum.
