KENYA WOMEN TEACHERS ASSOCIATION (KEWOTA) SETS STAGE TO PROVlDE TEACHERS WITH A PLATFORM TO ENJOY SERVICES IN INSURANCE, CAREER PROGRESSION, IT AND MICRO FINANCE

February 25th is a big day in lives of female teachers in Kenya under their association known as KEWOTA as they launch KEWOTA SHARED SERVICES LIMITED an initiative to uplift them financially, socially and careerwise.

KEWOTA will provide innovative insurance solutions to teachers country wide whether under TSC or private institutions for a dignified lifestyle for personal accident cover and digital learning interventios.

In order to make learning easy and to improve learning experience in schools, KEWOTA is partnering with Estonia to give exclusive laptops to its members at an affordable fee.

"Once you have the laptop, which we shall enable you purchase, our members will access all the books approved by KICD in the classrooms," said Benta Opande who is the CEO of KEWOTA.

Teachers wishing for financial boosts will enjoy services of KEWOTA TABLE BANKING and reduced interest rates via Equity bank as bargained by KEWOTA.

"The laptops will also be insured in case of theft or breakage," added Opande.

The National Treasurer Jacinta Ndegwa, Acting Chair Modesta Akaki who will preside over the launch on Saturday in Nairobi said the aim of Kewota is to members to enjoy exclusive benefits and treatment to be model teachers wherever they are.
