Lots of people have been asking why the frog? 🐸

Firstly, My family clan name is Nyawang Ogwal, which literally means “eye of the frog.” That name carries deep ancestral weight rooted in folklore, prophecy, and spiritual insight. The frog in many traditions is seen as a mystical being, a creature of transformation, a watcher between worlds, and a silent oracle. It lives in water and on land, moving between realms, carrying messages from the unseen.

This album is an exploration of that identity, diving into ancient stories and alchemical symbolism. The frog as a prophet. The frog as the one who sees.

Musically, it also reflects my own metamorphosis of being experimental and raw, yet grounded in traditional textures. Like the frog transforming from tadpole to its full form, this project captures the phases of growth, discomfort, and emergence.

This is a tribute to my lineage, my roots, and the mystical symbol of the frog as the seer.
