What an outstanding performance

Likoni Community Rugby Team participated in today’s inaugural Mwambao Touch Rugby Tournament held in Shanzu, emerging as runners-up after a tough and competitive final against the Transporters from Diani.

Special appreciation goes to Mr. Ousman Adam for making today’s travel and logistics possible, and to Mr. Kassim Sagariro for the generous donation of rugby balls.

Asanteni sana for the continued support and belief in the team. Your contribution means a lot to our growth and success.

We are proud of our former age-grade player Marvel Laura for making it to the Kenya Women’s National Team and proudly representing Likoni in this year’s Safari 7s Tournament at Nyayo Stadium.

We Mourn a Legend: Rest in Peace, Wanja

It is with heavy hearts that we, the Likoni Community Rugby Team, join the sports fraternity in mourning the untimely passing of volleyball star Janet Wanja. She was a shining light, a trailblazer, and an inspiration to many young athletes in our community and beyond.

Her dedication to excellence, passion for the game, and unwavering spirit will forever remain etched in our memories. Wanja’s legacy goes beyond the court, as she taught us the true meaning of teamwork, resilience, and unity.

Our deepest condolences go to her family, friends, teammates, and all who were touched by her greatness. May her soul rest in eternal peace, and may her memory inspire us all to strive for greatness.
