A Proud Success Story from Meru Youth Service!

Today, we celebrate Raphael Munyua, a graduate of the Meru Youth Service (MYS), who has secured employment as a Security Guard with Emanate Security Firm and is currently serving in Taita Taveta County.

Raphael joined the Meru Youth Service under the Third Company – The Chui Company (The Third Borns), where he embraced discipline, leadership, teamwork, and service. His achievement stands as a shining example of the transformative impact of the Meru Youth Service program.

More importantly, Raphael's success reflects the commitment made by H.E. Rev. Mutuma M'Ethingia, Governor of Meru County, to empower young people and create pathways to meaningful employment for MYS graduates. The CEO of Meru Youth Service, CPA Edwin Murangiri, today held a consultative meeting with MYS graduates, focusing on career guidance, course selection, and available job opportunities after completing hands-on training programs.

During the session, he emphasized the importance of acquiring practical skills, noting that technical and vocational training equips young people with the knowledge and experience needed to thrive in the job market and become self-reliant. He also encouraged graduates to make informed career choices and take advantage of the various employment and entrepreneurship opportunities available to skilled professionals.
