Many of these remarkable products are skillfully crafted from banana stalks, turning a simple farm resource into beautiful, marketable creations.
This is the impact Meru Youth Service envisions for its graduates as they transition into Vocational Training Centres gaining practical, marketable skills that inspire innovation, create livelihoods, and build brighter futures.

Empowering Youth, Transforming Lives!
Thirty-five graduates of the Meru Youth Service (MYS) have been selected for a fully sponsored Welding Course through a partnership between Inua Mama Mjane Organization, SHOFCO Programme, and the Meru County Government.
The program equips young men and women with practical welding skills for employment and self-employment opportunities. Upon completion, beneficiaries will receive PPEs and support to help them start their own businesses.
This initiative reflects the commitment of H.E. Rev. Mutuma M’Ethingia, Governor of Meru County, to youth empowerment through skills development and job creation.
Congratulations to the 35 trainees as they begin this life-changing journey toward a brighter future.

A Proud Success Story from Meru Youth Service!

Today, we celebrate Raphael Munyua, a graduate of the Meru Youth Service (MYS), who has secured employment as a Security Guard with Emanate Security Firm and is currently serving in Taita Taveta County.
Raphael joined the Meru Youth Service under the Third Company – The Chui Company (The Third Borns), where he embraced discipline, leadership, teamwork, and service. His achievement stands as a shining example of the transformative impact of the Meru Youth Service program.
More importantly, Raphael's success reflects the commitment made by H.E. Rev. Mutuma M'Ethingia, Governor of Meru County, to empower young people and create pathways to meaningful employment for MYS graduates.
