FREE MEDICAL CAMP ON MATCHDAY

As a club, we've always endeavoured to use football as a way of positively impacting the community we live in. It's our belief that football is more than a sport, and when rightly promoted, it can be used to curb drug and substance abuse, as well as promote healthy living.

A healthy community only means 3K FC will never lack players even 100 years from now.

We are happy to inform our fans that we've partnered with the county's department of health to offer free health services such as, blood pressure and blood sugar test,TB screening, VCT services and much more on Sunday.

During today's ground-breaking ceremony for the first Digital Huduma Centre in Runyenjes Constituency, more than 1500 participants gathered at Runyenjes Stadium to witness and participate in this memorable event. The ceremony was graced by distinguished guests, including Cabinet Secretary of the Ministry of Public Service, Delivery, and Performance Management, Mr. Moses Kuria; Governor of Embu, H.E Cecily Mbarire; CEO of Huduma Kenya, Mr. Ben Chiluma; the Area MP; Women Representative of Embu County; County Commissioner; Members of County Assembly, and several national and county government officers. It was emphasized that since the inception of Huduma Centre in 2013, many Kenyans have found it significantly easier to access government services. The Runyenjes Huduma Centre will mark the 54th digital centre in the country.

The governor expressed sincere gratitude to the CS for his numerous beneficial visits to her county. She further highlighted that her presence at the forum was influenced by her role as the UDA party leader, necessitating her to monitor all government projects. She praised the positive impact on her county and acknowledged that the new service would alleviate congestion at the Embu Town Huduma Centre. She requested an additional favor for the construction of a similar centre in Kiritiri for equitable distribution. Furthermore, she emphasized that local youth should be prioritized for employment at the centre.

In his speech, the CS stressed that "Huduma Bora" (Quality Service) is every Kenyan's right. He mentioned that the facility will cater to both public and private institutions and lauded Embu County for pioneering numerous government projects. In his concluding remarks, he highlighted that nowadays, the key to job opportunities lies not in personal connections but in having access to the internet (internet connection).

This digital facility's launch coincides with the University of Embu 's development of an online Artificial Intelligence tool that can address HIV-related queries, which upon completion will mark a first in the country.
