Yesterday we had the privilege of hosting a Free Medical Check-Up and Community Sports Day at Huruma Grounds, bringing together residents, healthcare professionals, youth, and local football teams in a meaningful event focused on health awareness, community engagement, and youth empowerment.

Medical screenings such as high blood pressure checks, diabetes screening, and Body Mass Index (BMI) assessments play a critical role in early detection and prevention of serious health conditions. Many non-communicable diseases develop silently without noticeable symptoms, and routine screening helps individuals understand their health status early enough to take preventive or corrective action. By offering these services within the community, we aim to encourage a culture of proactive health management, awareness, and early intervention, which ultimately contributes to a healthier and more informed society.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who showed up and participated. From the community members who came out in large numbers to receive medical check-ups, to the football teams that brought energy and excitement through friendly matches — your presence made the day meaningful and successful.

A special appreciation goes to the health practitioners and volunteers who dedicated their time and expertise to provide medical screening and consultations. Your commitment to improving community health made a real difference for many families.

We also extend our gratitude to the football teams and youth groups who participated in the friendly matches. Sports continue to be a powerful platform for promoting healthy lifestyles, teamwork, and positive engagement among young people while strengthening community bonds.

To the organizers, partners, and supporters who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make this event possible — your dedication ensured that everything ran smoothly and that the community benefited fully from the initiative.

We remain committed to supporting initiatives that promote health awareness, education, youth empowerment, and community development. Yesterday’s event was not just about medical services or football; it was about building a stronger, healthier, and more connected community.

Thank you once again to everyone who attended, participated, and supported the event. We look forward to organizing more initiatives that positively impact our community.
