The inaugural Samia Mazingira Cup saw Ganjala Super Stars and Wakhungu FC clash in the finals. Among other competitions, included Ajua, Volleyball Table Tennis , Draft and Pool table.
Samia Mazingira Patron Dady Wandera assured locals that 2026 Mazingira Cup will bring on board more sporting events to include Women competitions.

Moses Daddy Wandera Samia Mazingira Patron addresses the press during the Samia Mazingira Cup 2025, noting that the tournament is a flagship initiative aimed at promoting environmental conservation in schools, homes, rivers, and hills.
He highlighted that the 2025 edition, which kicked off yesterday, targets the planting of over 5,000 trees, with each school set to receive 100 seedlings under the programme.
Dady Wandera emphasized the deliberate involvement of youth to channel their energy into meaningful activities, promoting youth empowerment, talent development, and sustainable livelihood opportunities through sports.
He urged the youth to take an active role in safeguarding the environment and supporting community security as a top priority.
