The one who kicked off the entire event as the first act:
Ravitz Matsuo.

DAMN—this man hit the stage like Japan’s own James Brown.
His funky vocals and electrifying performance shook something deep in me...
Something I’d forgotten—my inner scream for Black music, soul, and funk.
He brought it all back.

After the set, I had to talk to him.
And guess what?
He was cool as hell.
Down-to-earth, warm, and real.

There aren’t many musicians who can express music from the soul like that.
On stage, he’s fire—burning hot.
Off stage, he’s quietly sipping whiskey at the bar with that calm, intelligent energy.
A true gentleman.
An artist with depth, kindness, and the kind of musical open-mindedness that only comes from a wide, generous heart.

Ravitz, man—talking music with you all night would be an honor.

Introducing QynemaLens, a great Japanese band that we recently introduced to you, won the Emergenza Osaka finals.
The band won Western Japan and stood on Top within a few months of their formation.
This is an amazing accomplishment, even for me, who was rooting for them!
Their music has a shiver that strikes the heart at first listen.
This is probably because the core of their sound is their pure and straightforward desire to connect their sound to people.
The sincerity with which they are able to establish a stage with just the power of their music and performance is rather refreshing in today's scene.
