Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, In partnership with the United Nations Global Compact Headquarters and the Embassy of Netherlands, And the participation of Amman Chamber of Commerce,Global Compact Network Jordan was officially re-launched in Amman. The mission of the GCNJ is to popularize the Global Compact Principles and to promote corporate social responsibility and active citizenship among Jordanian companies, organizations, and academia. On September 26th 2015, at a UN-business event at UN Headquarters in New York, the SDG Compass –developed jointly by GRI, the UN Global Compact and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) – guides companies in taking a strategic approach to the SDGs and enhancing their contribution to sustainable development through core business activities.
