herapy: We work on language stimulation as well as the production of speech. Therapy objectives vary according to the individual’s needs and abilities. Sessions are performed individually or in small groups. Speech and language therapy plans focus on improving the following skill areas:

Physical Therapy: Our physical therapists help improve strength, ability to move and function. The physical therapists at TRS Learning Center have the expertise and specially sized equipment needed to work with growing children, from the very smallest babies to teen athletes. Occupational Therapy: We address skill development in an activity-based setting. Consultation with teachers and other therapists is provided to further integrate therapeutic goals into the child’s daily program. Therapeutic intervention is also used to augment the school curriculum to develop those underlying skills important for learning. Such skills include, but are not limited to:
Sensory-motor processing
Sensory Integration
Visual motor and visual perceptual skills
Fine motor coordination
Gross-motor skills
Activities of daily living

Applied Behavior Analysis Therapy(ABA): Our ABA Therapy Program is managed through a certified and trained ABA therapist who is certified by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BCBA). Applied Behavior analysis (ABA) focuses on the principles that explain how learning takes place. Positive reinforcement is one such principle. When a behavior is followed by some sort of reward, the behavior is more likely to be repeated. We use the Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to bring about meaningful and positive change in behavior. Our ABA therapy sessions can involve one-on-one interaction between the therapist and the child or in a small group instruction. All areas of development are covered including speech and language, social skills, play and cognitive skills, motor and independent living skills. Art Psychotherapy: We offer art psychotherapy with a certified art psychotherapist by using the creative process to help increase insight and judgment, cope better with stress, work through traumatic experiences, increase cognitive abilities, have better relationships with family and friends, and just be able to enjoy the life-affirming pleasures of the creative experience. Assessment: We offer Psycho-Educational Assessments and Developmental Assessments to help the child who is experiencing problems with the aim of enhancing his/her learning. Challenges may include social or emotional, developmental, behavioral problems or learning difficulties. We work with the individual child, parents and teachers to reach the maximum potential of each child. These assessments involve the evaluation of the child using observation, interviews and test materials. These assessments provide a framework for the child in addition to specific recommendations based on the child's needs. Learning Support: We implement Educational Intervention Plans as a result of the Psych-Educational assessment. We offer Learning Support for every child who requires additional support to be successful in their school setting or any child who has difficulty in a regular classroom setting. Tutoring: We assist and guide the child become an independent learner who can do the work independently. Our Tutoring program aims to supplement what is done in the classroom and during an individual's study time, not substitute for it. We utilize strategies, such as reviewing class materials, discussing the text, working on sample problems, and predicting test questions. Reading and Writing Programs: We offer reading and writing programs using multi-sensory approaches. Holistic and Wellness Programs: We use a comprehensive approach and integrated perspective that considers the interconnected nature of various dimensions of well-being. Rather than focusing on one specific aspect of health, we recognize the physical, mental, emotional, social and even spiritual elements that contribute to an individual’s overall sense of wellness. This approach emphasizes the important of achieving balance and harmony in all areas of life for optimal health and fulfillment.
