VivHerr - Maths/Physics Tutor

The COVID-19 pandemic has been severe (to say the least) for so many in so many ways. I commiserate with all who have suffered. In the matter of mathematics and physics education the going has been tough for very many teachers and students alike, with huge setbacks and so on. (By all the anecdotes, definitely so here in Jamaica...)

In offering my services, I hope to play a part in the "picking up the pieces", "rebuilding", and all that (with respect to education, at least).

I cover mathematics and physics from high school to college/university level.

I aim to help my students to make meaningful progress in mathematics and physics by:
* promoting depth of understanding (of concepts, principles, reasoning, and so on);
* helping them develop strong problem-solving skills;
* fostering the idea that mathematics and physics are fundamental to attaining a deeper appreciation of our world;
* helping them get a handle on the very many applications of mathematics and physics that are part and parcel of the modern world -- from everyday life to the very many technological, scientific, and other applications, to career pursuits...
