How Hot is Too Hot - Dog Care Tip

Dogs can overheat surprisingly quickly, especially in warm, humid weather.

As a general rule, be cautious when temperatures rise above 20–25°C, and avoid long walks and exercise above 25°C.

Walk dogs during the cooler morning or evening hours, provide plenty of water and shade.

Watch for signs of overheating such as excessive panting, drooling, lethargy, or collapse, and seek veterinary help immediately if heatstroke is suspected.

LOOKING FOR A HOME

If you’re looking for fun, fuss monster then Bruce is your man. He’s a 4 year old Old Tyme Bulldog who loves people. He’s been fine and patient with dogs he has met so could live with a dog subject to introductions. A dog of similar size or bigger would be more suitable as spatial awareness and personal space aren’t always on his agenda. Older children who are confident around dogs would be fine. He is yet to meet a cat, so for now he won’t be homed with any feline friends. He has previously lived in a home and is fine traveling. He would enjoy a garden and to be with people who are around for much of the day. Bruce is neutered, vaccinated and had a flea and worm treatment.

It’s fair to say everyone who meets Bruce adore him. He’s from the UK but would love a home on our rock. Can you make his first Jersey summer a memorable one?
