Outside of the shop, Helen loves going for walks — usually ending up at Coopers, where you’ll spot her with a cappuccino and a slice of cake (her perfect treat combo ☕🍰).

Meet the Team, Me, Pip 🤎

I thought I’d start our Meet the Team series by introducing myself! I’m Philippa, though most people call me Pip, and I’m proud to be the owner of The Kitchen Cupboard.

My mum, Maria, opened the shop back in 2012, and when she retired, I took over to keep our family business going. These days I balance running the store behind the scenes with life as a mum to two little boys, aged four and two. I’m not in the shop every day, but I’m always working away in the background — from ordering stock to planning what’s next for the business.

I’m incredibly lucky to have a brilliant team who keep everything running smoothly on the shop floor. They’re the reason The Kitchen Cupboard feels so warm and welcoming, and I can’t wait for you to get to know them in this series.
