Today, we mourn the loss of Rima Amyuni, a hugely significant artist and a wonderful person. Rima enjoyed a long and deeply productive career full of remarkable highlights.
Amyuni left her substantive academic learning behind to paint her world with love. A simple and vibrant place full of thick and layered parts making a whole that speaks directly to the feeling of place, life, moment. For Amyuni, the world held a clarity that could appear naive, unreal, but was perhaps conversely, deeply real, deeply felt and understood.
Rima Amyuni will be deeply missed, but her work and vision remain alive.🤍
