From September 26th to October 2nd, the 2023 World Design Cities Conference, organized by the Municipal Government of Shanghai, will occur at the Huangpu Riverside in Shanghai.
The conference, titled ‘Design Beyond Creativity’, primarily focuses on the future of urban construction and development. It will delve into critical global themes, including industrial symbiosis, data-driven approaches, inclusivity, equality, health and well-being, and net-zero emissions.

Among the esteemed international academics and experts invited to lead discussions on forward-looking design, industrial innovation, and multidisciplinary integration is also China Room fellow Michele Bonino.

Today Prof. Michele Bonino attended the online seminar 'Yuan-er: From the Mega to the Micro' within the framework of the exhibition "China Pavillion Returns - Taoxixuan" curated by Prof. Zhang Li (Tsinghua University) and organized by China International Exhibition Agency / Jingdezhen Towyi Cultural Development Co. Ltd / Architectural Design and Research Institute of Tsinghua University Co., Ltd / World Architecture Magazine Publications.
In 2021 China Room co-supervised the development of the Chinese Pavillion for the 17th International Architecture Exhibition
at La Biennale di Venezia: now the installation returned to China to host a series of events and seminars for the public.
