In 2014 he won a Neophyte Records contest, remixing Kasparov – Infected by madness. The Scottish label, Darkside Unleashed, recognized his talent in creating innovative sounds and released a new EP called “Destroying You”. As a lucky break, his production stumbled their way into the hands of Andy The Core and F.Noize and not long after Onesimk’s EP started receiving strong approval
by artists like Partyraiser, Miss K8, Destructive Tendencies. After releasing an EP with Partyraiser Records, Onesimk was greeted with bookings at the Footwoorx parties in Germany and Belgium. In 2015, when his career kicked off to a flying start, Onesimk’s releases such as “Dopeness” with Andy The Core and the Army of Hardcore 2015 Anthem had a huge positive impact on the scene. The real breakthrough was in 2016, when he knocked at the Traxtorm Records door. Thanks to The Stunned Guys mentorship he fine tuned his style and found an identity more aligned with his personality: Freakon. Freakon sound goes beyond mundane kicks and trivial patterns, he thrive to produce music packed with emotions, dynamic elements to nurture the dancefloor’s need of raving. His violent mainstream high - powered act kicks any crowd into party – mode. ITA
La musica ha sempre fatto parte della vita di Freakon, alias Simone Barbatano, dedicando la sua intera adolescenza al rock e all’hip hop. Non molto tempo dopo scopre gli harder styles e ne diventa ossessionato. Dopo aver partecipato “Feestfabriek - 10 Years of Q-Dance”, suo primo festival, Simone è stato folgorato dalle tecniche di mixaggio sorpraffini di Noize Suppressor, Endymion, Evil Activities & Outblast. Nel 2012 Simone ha iniziato a mixare trovando il suo spazio sotto l’alias di “Onesimk” come dj resident della “Discoteca ShocK!” (noto club italiano nella scena hard). Nel 2014 ha vinto un contest di Neophyte Records, remixando
Kasparov - Infected by madness e ottenendo il diritto a stampare sull’etichetta. L'etichetta scozzese, Darkside Unleashed, ha riconosciuto il suo talento nel creare suoni innovativi e ha rilasciato un suo nuovo EP chiamato “Destroy You”. da artisti del calibro di Partyraiser, Miss K8, Destructive Tendencies. Dopo aver rilasciato un EP su Partyraiser Records, Onesimk ha cominciato a suonare in alcuni party europei, tra cui Olanda,Germania e Belgio. Nel 2015, quando la sua carriera pres di volo, Onesimk rilascia EP quali “Dopeness” con Andy The Core e l'Anthem dell’ Army of Hardcore 2015 Anthem che hanno avuto un riscontro positivo sulla scena. La vera svolta è stata nel 2016, quando ha bussato alla porta della Traxtorm Records. Grazie alla supervisione di The Stunned Guys Simone ha perfezionato il suo stile e ha trovato un'identità più in linea con la sua personalità: Freakon. Il suono di Freakon va oltre i kick mondani e i patterns banali, la sua missione è produrre musica Hardcore che sia in grado di emozionare, con elementi dinamici per nutrire “the raving need of the dancefloor”. I suoi mainstream act carichi di potenza e violenza accendono la folla nel party mood.
