Con grande rammarico apprendiamo dello sgombero avvenuto ieri, prima dell’alba, alla LUPo. Noi in primis, l’abbiamo attraversata e siamo vicini a tutti gli attivisti che l’hanno resa negli anni il tempio di (contro)cultura, aggregazione, socialità orizzontale, DIY e molto altro che è stato fino ad oggi. La nostra Catania perde l’ultimo spazio sociale rimasto, di cui aveva bisogno come l’aria. Al suo posto un’altro percheggio per asfissiare la città e provare a stringere ancora la morsa della repressione. Siamo solidali con tutt* coloro che hanno attraversato la Palestra Lupo e la ricorderemo per sempre per i grandi momenti di musica e convivialità che ci ha regalato. Grazie Palestra Lupo 🐺

🇬🇧 It is with great regret that we learned of the eviction of Palestra Lupo earlier yesterday, before dawn. We have walked those halls ourselves, and we stand in solidarity with all the activists who, over the years, turned it into a temple of (counter)culture, community, horizontal sociality, DIY, and so much more.
Our Catania loses its last remaining non-profit place of aggregation. A place the city needed like air. In its place, yet another parking lot to suffocate the streets and tighten the grip of repression. We stand with everyone who breathed life into Palestra Lupo. We will forever cherish the music and beautiful moments of conviviality it gave us.
