𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗦𝗜𝗟𝗩𝗘𝗥 Vertumnus — the Roman god of seasons, transformation, and abundance . Inspired by the famous painting by the sixteen century painter Arcimboldo, the onyx pendant was hand-painted by the artist Tommaso Rossi.

Using enamels, titanium acrylics and graphite, Tommaso Rossi creates astonishing miniature portraits inspired by Ancient Rome and mythology. To achieve such extraordinary precision, he often replaces the traditional brush with echidna quills and rose thorns, painting details almost invisible to the naked eye.

An extraordinary revolving ring featuring an authentic Greek silver coin from the 4th century B.C., minted on the island of Thasos in ancient Thrace and set in refined sterling silver (925), enriched with elegant 18 kt gold pellet decorations.

The obverse portrays a satyr holding a kantharos — the ceremonial wine vessel deeply connected to Dionysian rituals and the ecstatic culture of ancient Greece. On the reverse, an amphora appears as a timeless symbol of abundance, prosperity, and the flourishing Mediterranean wine trade.

Celebrated in antiquity for its vineyards and maritime wealth, Thasos was one of the principal centers devoted to the cult of Dionysus, god of wine, vitality, and theatrical celebration. The vivid imagery of the satyr evokes the untamed and festive spirit of the Dionysian world, while the amphora recalls the island’s enduring role in commerce and cultural exchange across the ancient Mediterranean.

Expertly crafted, the revolving setting enhances the historical charm of the coin, transforming an authentic fragment of classical history into a wearable work of art.
