A special presentation will be held on Thursday, 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟑 𝐚𝐭 𝟕:𝟎𝟎 p.m., preceding the closing screening at 7:30 p.m, featuring an in-person appearance and message of peace by Buddhist Spiritual Leader Historical Grand Venerable Abbot Shi Yan Fan, the esteemed spiritual leader of the legendary Shaolin Temple Los Angeles. Solo a seguire avviene la trasformazione in 'spiritual action' e, solo alla fine, le porte vengono spalancate.
Ho realizzato questo film pensandolo non come "antidoto" per vincere la noia, ma che fosse invece un cammino, un'opera d'arte e poetica, necessaria e utile alle persone interessate a seguire una crescita interiore e per superare la superficialità del materialismo che tutti sovente subiamo.
Ebbene sì, nel film la prima parte è anche una prova.
Nel passato in alcuni monasteri, prima di entrarvi per imparare i segreti lì celati, bisognava attendere per giorni, a volte settimane o anni, solo quando l'Abate percepiva che le persone erano veramente interessate allora veniva loro aperta la porta.
Ecco, la prima parte è propedeutica, meditativa. Chi regge il film nella prima parte e resiste senza alzarsi per andare via, allora può vivere al meglio la seconda parte - che ti avvolge, ti travolge, ti entra nelle vene.
Come ben risaputo, leggendo anche le numerose letterature, la via che conduce alla perdizione è sempre seducente sin da subito - solitamente mondana, terrena, frivola - così come larga è la porta e spaziosa che conduce alla perdizione.
Or bene, il primo dei tre ritmi del film è volutamente lento e meditativo. Superata quella fase i nodi iniziano a manifestarsi e a sciogliersi cammin facendo. Il finale è tutto da capire ;-)
