The interview highlights what on my point of view are amongst the best intuitions of Chambers studies about the post-colonialism and the Mediterranean such as music as method to build new critical orders, dubbing history, decolonial melancholia, the Gramsci thought extension to the wider Mediterranean etc.

Of course i tried to force the discourse in a personal path, bringing into the convo theories and ideas that i care for. Sees, Hauntology, Chaos, expanded Continuum, Present, Ruins and of course Napoli.

Again, “The work of this “becoming-minority” has to do with the assumption of a previously repressed level of conflict”, which, in this specific case, allows for the transmutation of the object of history into the subject of history.

Politics of minority, of subalternities, of the South — or better, of the Souths.

Can this haunted present help us to re-think the Mediterranean?
Can we start again from the Souths to build new narratives that confront the reactionary, colonizing present?
Or rather, who has the right to narrate the Mediterranean?
