Living Nativity at the Papal Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore:

There was a chance to experience the atmosphere of the 1st century AD right in front of Santa Maria Maggiore, in the heart of Rome’s city center.

On 13 December 2025, the area was transformed by a living historical reenactment inspired by the Nativity, where history, faith, and tradition came together through period costumes and scenes.

Set against one of Rome’s most iconic basilicas, the event offered a moment of reflection on the religious and cultural origins of Christmas, framed by the timeless setting of Rome.
