Why Restorative Justice Matters for Europe’s Future

In today’s complex societies, conflict is inevitable — but how we respond to it shapes the future of our communities. Restorative Justice offers a powerful approach: instead of focusing only on punishment, it seeks to repair harm, rebuild trust, and give all parties a voice.

At FOR-J, we believe restorative justice is not just a legal practice but a tool for social cohesion, inclusion, and youth empowerment. By teaching young people to engage in dialogue, take responsibility, and co-create solutions, we are building a culture where justice is not about division — but about healing and transformation.

This is why our project brings together partners across Europe to develop training, resources, and awareness campaigns that promote restorative practices in schools, communities, and youth work.

📍 Next Transnational Meeting in Maribor
On 20 November 2025, the FOR-J partners will gather in Maribor, Slovenia, hosted by our partner MIITR – International Institute for the Implementation of Sustainable Development.
This meeting will focus on sharing results, planning the next steps, and strengthening cooperation within the FOR-J project.
