Trailblazing director, writer, and showrunner Tracey Deer is one of Canada’s most vital cinematic voices, telling stories that center Indigenous identity, girlhood, and resilience. 🍁🎥

Raised in a large Mohawk family in Kahnawake, Quebec, Deer knew from age 12 she wanted to be a filmmaker. After earning her degree from Dartmouth, she went on to create award-winning documentaries, scripted series, and her own production company, Mohawk Princess Productions.
