The characteristic name of this species derives from the fact that when disturbed, for example after a bump from their web, they react by exhibiting a circular motion that
transmits a high-frequency vibration to the entire web, observing it seems to be dancing a frantic dance.

A cosmopolitan family of the Salticidae, their small size means that the wind carries them almost everywhere.
Some species supplement the diet by feeding on nectar and pollen by jumping from flower to flower, sometimes defending the flower itself from the onslaught of harmful insects.
