CSA with the First Car Carrier Vessel GLOVIS at Tencara
On October 28, on the occasion of the inaugural day of the Tencara Terminal in Marghera, the shipping company GLOVIS, represented in Italy by CSA S.p.A., loaded the first batch of 1,200 vehicles from the VW Group.
Porsche, Audi, and VW vehicles arrive in Venice by train to a former industrial area that has been redeveloped for logistics purposes thanks to significant infrastructure investments by the Vezzani Group. These investments also enabled the construction of a new quay nearly 300 meters long.
The vehicles, positioned in the newly constructed yards covering a surface area of 27 hectares, are loaded onto vessels operated by Glovis and Cosco bound for China. The service will begin with one vessel call per month in 2025, increasing to every fifteen days in 2026, with the goal of reaching full operational capacity in 2027, with one vessel per week.
The launch of this service has been made possible thanks to close cooperation between public and private sector operators and an efficient regulatory framework.
CSA S.p.A., already present in Marghera with a strong representation of Bulk Carrier vessels, is proud to bring its extensive and professional experience in the Car Carrier sector to this port, adding it to those of Livorno, Civitavecchia, Gioia Tauro, Salerno, and Ravenna—ports where our agency has been operating “with cars” for more than 30 years.

At last Friday’s Youngster Shipping Summer Party held in Genoa, CSA was proud to be represented by four young colleagues ,Omar Eladawy (Milan) , Filippo Sbardellati and Andrea Rossi (Genoa) , Fabio Basile (Livorno) ; who—together with many other emerging talents—embody the driving force behind our company’s future.

The goal of the evening was to spark networking, collaboration, and a strong sense of community, all while bridging the energy of the next generation with the experience and professionalism of various presidents and key representatives from both local and national maritime-port associations.
