Epiagps
How can we achieve that without overwhelming the planet?”
The question, raised back in 2009, demands quick action. Human life depends on plants, which feeds us, our livestock or fulfils our biofuel needs. Thus to feed this growing population, it will be necessary to double agricultural yields without increasing the amount of arable land. A fine knowledge of the fundamental molecular processes that

The strange times we are living have really slowed down lab experiments around here, but I’ve been trying to make it a bit more productive investing on reading and putting down my research on paper 📝 What about you? How are you handling this pandemics and limited time in the lab? 🧪 🔬

This: "Farmers have delivered admirably until now – there are more well-fed people on the planet than at any time in history – but, to help them meet the future challenges, they will need all of the help that science can offer. Gene editing is one powerful part of that help." Not only UK. All European countries would benefit.
British farmers need all the help science can offer. Time to allow gene editing | Sir David Baulcombe Plant scientist Sir David Baulcombe argues we must adapt the way we produce food to meet future agricultural challenges
Why plants? 🌍🌿🧬
"As the world population continues to grow, much more effort and innovation will be urgently needed in order to sustainably increase agricultural production, improve the global supply chain, decrease food losses and waste, and ensure that all who are suffering from hunger and malnutrition have access to nutritious food."

What is the best way to start 2020? Publishing! Another work from our team! This is about the advantages and disadvantages of using CRISPR/Cas9 and RNA interference for AGPs analysis. But it can also be applied to other molecules! It happens that AGPs are our favorites 😉 thank you for the great work Diana Moreira! 🧬🌱📚
