Design Now

on of the program is Politecnico di Milano’s consortium POLI.design. Design Now is an articulated program of collective open designing activities that focus on a concrete experimentation of one of the main themes of the XXI Triennale “21st Century: Design after Design”: the processes and the know-hows’ mutation regarding the ideation and the production of the contemporary artefacts, generated by the technological and social transition. The paradigm of the distributed production modifies the known roles’ articulation and the approaches that design has practiced and taught in the recent history. For this reason, the initiative has as its main purpose to involve the most important Italian and international design Schools in a concrete design exploration of this key-theme for the society and the design discipline itself.
