On June 9 we present “NO-FOLK. Hacking the Vernacular”, the new research project conducted by VITELLI between Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 as part of the .nua_collective Craftsmanship Program.
Developed in collaboration with in Kathmandu and in Milan, the project brings into dialogue Nepali weavers and Italian knitters around different practices of textile manipulation, exploring the vernacular through embodied knowledge and computational intelligence.
The outcomes of the research will be presented as a series of textile collages - fabric compositions for imaginative wearability, entities of sensual presence and environmental consciousness, simulacra of a generation reclaiming craft through technology.
On view from June 10 onward.
Join us tomorrow for the opening!
