The project by Spagnulo & Partners to renovate the interior and exterior spaces of La Vela in Punta Ala is set within a distinctive architectural context. The building, designed by architect Walter Di Salvo in 1960, was originally intended to house a seaside bar and restaurant. Spagnulo & Partners transformed the existing spaces and adapted them to contemporary living, designing a luxury spa and fitness centre on the ground floor, a restaurant and bar with a terrace on the first floor, a beach bar with an outdoor bar overlooking the beach, and a large park surrounded by a pine forest. Through this project, the existing building has acquired a new identity and function, becoming a landmark within its local context.
