Ten brilliant ideas on aid, relief, resilience, and peacebuilding, developed by 40 talented students of the School of Design of Politecnico di Milano, to light up these dark days.�Positive Peace – Bridges over Troubled Waters is an exhibition and project presentation that will take place on Monday, January 19, at the Italian Red Cross headquarter in Milan, via Marcello Pucci 7.
The projects were developed in collaboration with Action Aid, Croce Rossa Italiana, Refugees Welcome, and Trending Peace, the organizations we worked with to design ideas fostering a condition of Positive Peace—a concept of peace that goes beyond the mere absence of war.

Dieci idee brillanti su aiuto, soccorso, resilienza e costruzione della pace, sviluppate da 40 talentuosi studenti della Scuola del Design del Politecnico di Milano, per illuminare questi giorni difficili.�Positive Peace – Bridges over Troubled Waters è una mostra e presentazione di progetti che si terrà lunedì 19 gennaio presso la sede di Milano della Croce Rossa Italiana via Marcello Pucci 7.
I progetti sono stati sviluppati in collaborazione con Action Aid, Croce Rossa Italiana, Refugees Welcome e Trending Peace, le organizzazioni con cui abbiamo lavorato per ideare proposte volte a promuovere una condizione di Pace Positiva — un concetto di pace che va oltre la semplice assenza di guerra.

Towards PDC26 | Design Diplomacy: Comprising opposites.
A shared reflection on the role of design as an activity of institutional organizations in situations of conflict and opposition. A conversation in anticipation of the Participatory Design Conference 2026, themed "Peace, Dialogue, and Coexistence."
A conversation prompted by: Anna Meroni, Davide Fassi, Laura Galluzzo (Organizers of PDC.2026 for Politecnico di Milano), Nora Lombardini (Rector’s Delegate for the Italian Network of Universities for Peace), Silvia Ferraris (Rector’s Delegate for International relations of the School of Design - Politecnico di Milano), Gaia Romani (Councillor for Decentralization, Neighborhoods and Participation, and General Civic Services).
