➡ NEXT OPENING: Mika Sperling - I Have Done Nothing Wrong

📌 Opening: 14.01.2025, 19:00
🗓 Exhibition: 15.01.–22.02.2025
📍 Foto Forum - Weggensteinstr. 3F, BZ

Curated by Sabine Gamper
Exhibition Design: Anni Seligmann

The past and present fuse together in Mika Sperling’s "I Have Done Nothing Wrong", creating space for complex emotions otherwise relegated to the private realm. Shame, anger, guilt, and conversations around sexual abuse are unapologetically expressed through archival images, drawings, photographs, and a theatrical play in this body of work.

"I Have Done Nothing Wrong" becomes a love letter to herself and to the decades of silence endured. Why must we hide these truths? Why must we carry shame that was never ours? When violence is not questioned, we must ask—what is lost? Sperling explores these urgent questions, positioning the viewer in a place of both compassion and accountability, bringing the past alive through a renewed, urgent, and present lens

➡ TONIGHT! Émilie Delugeau – Zuhause

📌 Opening: 12.03.2024, 19:00
Talk: Émilie Delugeau with Elisa Cappellari
Exhibition: 13.03. – 20.04.2024

Home - Where can it be found? Has it ever been? Did it once exist in an unscathed state? Or has it always been a longing, a shimmering reflection of light in the shards of fragility lying before us, in the cracks of unsustainable dreams of bliss and salvation?

Landscapes of destroyed matter are visible in the photo series "Zuhause" by Émilie Delugeau. The intact, the surface has shattered, forming the natural shapes of the impact of uncontrollable force.

Home - something that in this world can only be established for moments in the corners of our nomadic, transient existence and that exists permanently only in the certainty of imagination, of the heart, and not in the illusion of the tangible, unambiguous? Not in one nation or at a single place, but in that realm which is inward within us, and in which we are constantly searching, arrived in the longing that is home, beauty, and light in the uncharted, unfathomable, and living.
