Starting tomorrow, Thursday, March 19, 2026, until Sunday, March 29, 2026, will be an official holiday.
On the occasion of Eid al-Fitr and Newroz, and according to the official calendar of the Kurdistan Regional Government, there will be an official holiday in all government institutions of the Kurdistan Region from tomorrow, Thursday, March 19, 2026, until Sunday, March 29, 2026.

A day of pride, courage, and remembrance.

On the anniversary of March 11, the day of the Erbil Uprising, we respectfully and proudly remember the victims and heroes of that day who bravely raised the voice of freedom and wrote a new chapter in the history of our homeland.

لەپێناو بەرژەوەندی گشتیی و پاراستنی سەلامەتی مامۆستایان و قوتابیان و خوێندکاران، لە یەکشەممە ٨ ی ٣ ی ٢٠٢٦ تا دووشەممە ٢٣ ی ٣ ی ٢٠٢٦ ، لە گشت ناوەندەکانی خوێندنی وەزارەتی پەروەردە و وەزارەتی خوێندنی باڵاو توێژینەوەی زانستی حکومەتی هەرێمی کوردستان، حکومی و ناحکومی و تایبەت و نێودەوڵەتیەکانیش پشوو دەبێت.

Joint Announcement

In the interest of the public good and to ensure the safety of teachers, pupils, and students, all educational institutions under the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Kurdistan Regional Government — including public, private, and international institutions — will be closed from Sunday, March 8, 2026, until Monday, March 23, 2026.

Note: The period from March 11, 2026, to March 23, 2026 is the official Spring Holiday for educational institutions.
