Non-Formal Education Facilitators (Remedial Classes)
Position Title: Non-Formal Education Facilitators (Remedial Classes) – (16 positions)
Reports to: Project Manager
Duty Station: Piramagrun & Bazyan – Sulaymaniyah Governorate
Workload / Duration: Part time – 11 Months
Key Interfaces: Schools, DoE/DoEYA, CECs/Parent Groups, Camp Management, MEAL & Program Teams
Languages: Kurdish, Arabic (required); English (asset)
Purpose of the Position
The Non-Formal Education Facilitators will be responsible for delivering educational sessions to out-of-school internally displaced and refugee children in the target areas. The role is essential in providing flexible, tailored learning opportunities that address the specific educational gaps of these children and support their reintegration into formal schooling or alternative educational pathways.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct interactive and inclusive non-formal education sessions tailored to the needs of out-of-school IDP and refugee children.
• Develop lesson plans and learning materials that are age-appropriate, culturally sensitive, and contextually relevant.
• Facilitate group activities that promote literacy, numeracy, life skills, and psychosocial well-being.
• Assess learners' progress regularly and provide individual support to children with diverse learning needs.
• Collaborate with parents, community members, and local stakeholders to encourage community involvement and support for the children’s education.
• Report on attendance, progress, and any challenges faced during sessions to the Project Manager and MEAL Officer.
Required Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, or a related field.
• Previous experience in teaching or facilitating non-formal education, particularly with displaced or marginalized communities, is strongly preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage children and build a positive learning environment.
• Cultural sensitivity, confidentiality, and ethical conduct.
Child Safeguarding, Do No Harm & PSEA
All staff must comply with AOO’s Child Safeguarding, PSEA, and Code of Conduct policies. Any concern must be reported immediately through approved channels. Activities must be designed to minimize risks and follow consent/assent, do-no-harm, and data protection standards. Referrals must be survivor-centered and handled confidentially.
Working Conditions
• Field-based with frequent travel within the assigned area (Piramagrun or Bazyan).
• Work outside regular hours may be required to match community schedules.
• Strict adherence to security, HSE, and safeguarding SOPs at all times.

MEAL Officer (50%)
Position Title: MEAL Officer (50% – Part-time)
Reports to: Project Manager / MEAL Manager
Duty Station: Erbil
Contract Type / Duration: Part-time – 11 months
Key Interfaces: Program team, partners, communities, DoE/Schools
Languages: Kurdish, Arabic (required); English (asset)
Purpose of the Position
Lead routine monitoring, data quality assurance, accountability, and learning to enable evidence‑based decision making and adaptive management.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and update M&E plan, IPTT, and indicator definitions aligned with the log frame.
• Design and deploy Kobo/ODK tools; train mobilizers on data collection and ethics.
• Conduct field monitoring, attendance tracking, and PDMs; verify beneficiary lists.
• Manage complaints and feedback mechanisms (CFM), ensuring timely closure and documentation.
• Produce monthly MEAL briefs; support baseline/endline studies and lessons‑learned events.
Deliverables & Performance Indicators
1. 100% of indicators have tools and data sources defined; Data Quality Reviews (DQR) conducted monthly.
2. CFM dashboard updated monthly with ≥90% closure rate within SLA.
3. Baseline/endline reports or briefs produced as per plan; learning actions tracked.
Required Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Statistics, Public Health, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in MEAL within education or humanitarian programs; strong quantitative and qualitative skills.
• Proficiency in Excel for analysis and Kobo/ODK; experience in data visualization is an asset.

Child Safeguarding, Do No Harm & PSEA
Ensure all tools and processes are safe for children and sensitive to gender and disability considerations. Collect consent/assent appropriately and anonymize data where required.
Working Conditions
• 50% time; frequent school and community visits in Piramagrun/Bazyan.
• Adherence to security and HSE protocols; conduct field data collection in varied conditions.
