A flash of fire in the reeds — the male Rufous Treepie-like beauty (if this is the bird I think it is, likely a flycatcher-type with that striking rufous tail) perched quietly, yet impossible to miss. Rusty-orange plumage, dark crested head, and a graceful long tail make this little hunter a jewel of the wetlands.
