Paws, Whiskers, and Little Hearts: Celebrating World Pet Day

Our Pre-Nursery to Class I explorers took a walk on the cute side this week to celebrate World Pet Day, a special occasion dedicated to sensitising our youngest learners to the beauty of human-animal coexistence. The celebration highlighted the therapeutic bond we share with our animal companions, teaching children that pets are not just friends, but gentle teachers of empathy and patience.
The day was filled with vibrant energy as students engaged in creative origami activities to craft their own paper animals, designed colourful animal masks for imaginative role-play, and cheered through a lively game of Animal Sound Bingo. Through these hands-on experiences, our students learned that caring for another living being makes our lives infinitely brighter and helps us grow into more compassionate individuals.

As we step into the new academic session filled with optimism and renewed energy, we begin a meaningful journey through Social-Emotional Development Sessions. These thoughtfully designed sessions will nurture essential life skills, guiding students to understand the harmony between structure and freedom, the value of teamwork, and the strength found in resilience.
Through engaging activities and interactive discussions, students will develop stronger social connections, learn the importance of respecting personal boundaries, and gain confidence in expressing their thoughts about family and individuality. By appreciating diversity and encouraging collaboration, these sessions aim to lay a strong foundation for emotional intelligence and holistic growth.
