The rain's blow
It's not like that.
After a long downpour
A dry spring
The new sprouting of shady bounty
Flowers bloom painfully
Without lushness,
Without vigor
As the dry sky withers
Arid season
Sudden drops
With heavy rain all day and night
Fall down on the tender bounty of new leaves and buds
And
For the latent seed to grow
For a new flow of life
Triumph of the trees
Triumph of the weeds
But pain for the crickets
And for the insects
As the ground becomes wet.
