Hon'ble MLA Eidgah & Chairman J&K Rural Development Society Mubarak Gul sharing his views on the Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyan.

The Jammu & Kashmir Rural Development Society (JKRDS) organised its Annual Meet-cum-Award Ceremony at Jammu, recognising and honouring individuals for their outstanding contributions to various sections of society.

On the occasion, Chairman JKRDS and Hon’ble MLA Eidgah, Haji Mubarak Gul, addressed the gathering and delivered a powerful message on pressing social concerns. He emphasised the importance of unity, communal harmony, and collective responsibility in building a progressive society.
Highlighting critical issues, he expressed concern over the rising cases of suicides, increasing drug abuse, and growing communal hatred. He urged society to take proactive steps towards mental health awareness, youth engagement, and fostering mutual respect among communities.

He also stressed the urgent need for environmental protection, preservation of water bodies, and responsible civic behaviour. Speaking on family and social values, he underlined the importance of safeguarding parents’ rights and ensuring that children are nurtured without undue pressure, allowing them to grow in a healthy and supportive environment.
He called upon the youth to act as ambassadors of peace, positivity, and social reform.

The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and children, who presented debates and cultural performances reflecting awareness on key societal issues.
Vice Chairman JKRDS Jammu, Babu Rampal, and Chairman Migrant Cell, Ashok Koul, KL Abrol, Satpaul Sharma, Subash Chander and others were also present on the occasion.

The event concluded with the felicitation of awardees and a renewed commitment towards inclusive and socially responsible development.
