Every year on our roads, countless innocent animals, especially street dogs, lose their lives in hit-and-run incidents or collisions we barely ever notice.
Studies show that among all animal-related road accidents, more than half happen to dogs. 

Yet when we talk about injury, suffering and despair, the conversation rarely includes the animals whose lives are shattered too.

This puppy lying under a van, waiting for help, should remind us: when you speed past, when you don’t stop or slow, when you “didn’t see”, you did impact a life. A life that mattered.

What can we do?

✅ Slow down in residential/urban zones, animals may dart across unexpectedly.
✅ If you hit or see a moving vehicle hit an animal, stop safely: call for help, contact a local rescue.
✅ Raise awareness. Share the story. Because every number hides a suffering creature and a preventable loss.

Let’s not wait for another life to lie on the roadside before we care. Road safety includes every living being sharing the space.
