Srinagar, June 03: Taking everyone by surprise, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and MLAs from the National Conference headed to Dachigam National Park in SRTC vehicles to take stock of the functioning of the NC‑led government during the past 19 months.
In a post on X, CM Omar, as per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said that they were off for an offsite to spend the day reviewing the last 19 months.
“We are off for an offsite to spend the day taking stock of the last 19 months—the good, the not so good, and everything in between,” Omar wrote in a post on X, as per news agency reports.

Gvn...Leopard Trapped Inside Old House in Uri Village, Rescue Operation in Progress
Uri, Jun 02 : A leopard has entered an old house in Na**la village of Uri on Tuesday and became trapped inside.
Residents told GNS that the animal was spotted inside the structure following which locals informed the Wildlife Department and Police. Soon after, a team of officials reached the area and launched a rescue operation to safely capture the leopard.
Authorities cordoned off the vicinity as a precautionary measure and advised residents to avoid movement near the site to prevent any untoward incident.
Officials said the leopard is suspected to have strayed from nearby forest areas into the village. Efforts were underway to tranquilise the animal and shift it safely from the locality.
