Whiskers and Wags

From tiny paws to mighty roars, our little learners from Montessori to Balvatika III turned the campus into a vibrant celebration of the animal kingdom.

Each class stepped into a different world of animals, with Montessori exploring pet animals, Balvatika I discovering farm animals, Balvatika II diving into aquatic life and Balvatika III bringing the wild alive.

With spirited walks, expressive costumes and endless enthusiasm, the children truly donned not just the outfits, but the attitudes of their animals too. The morning was filled with laughter, movement and imaginative exploration as children learned through role play, expression and performance.

The celebration culminated in an energetic dance finale where all our little performers came together for a joyful showcase.

Appreciating the efforts of the students and teachers, our Principal, Dr Shalini Bindra, spoke about the importance of nurturing confidence, creativity and experiential learning in the early years, where children learn best when they are fully immersed in joy and discovery.

When Voices Found Their Stage

DPS Sohna hosted its very first Solo Singing Competition, and what a beautiful beginning it was. From soulful Indian melodies by Grades III-V to confident Western performances by Grades VI-VII, the stage came alive with music, expression and remarkable confidence.

What stood out most was not just the talent our children displayed, but the courage with which they stepped onto the stage, owned the moment and found their voice.

Addressing the gathering, our beloved Principal, Dr Shalini Bindra, spoke about music as a universal language, one that transcends words and brings people together through emotion, expression and shared feeling. She appreciated the confidence and enthusiasm displayed by all participants and encouraged students to continue exploring the arts with sincerity and joy.

Every Role Matters- The Community Helpers Panache Walk

Our very first runway at DPS Sohna came with tiny footsteps and very big purpose.

At the Community Helpers Walk, our students of Classes I and II stepped into the shoes of the people who keep our world moving, from doctors and farmers to firefighters, electricians and many more. Dressed in character and walking with remarkable confidence and flair, the children celebrated every profession with pride and enthusiasm.

More than a showcase, the experience became a lesson in dignity of labour and the importance of every role in society. Held in observance of Labour Day, the activity encouraged children to look beyond titles and recognise the value of service, effort and contribution in everyday life.

Addressing the gathering, our Principal, Dr Shalini Bindra, spoke about how every profession, whether seen or unseen, helps hold communities together and deserves equal respect and gratitude. She also appreciated the confidence, creativity and effort displayed by both students and teachers.

What made the morning truly special was watching our young learners bring these roles to life with such conviction, curiosity and unmistakable pizzazz.

A day filled with little moments that mattered.

From excited smiles and warm hugs to laughter shared over games, art and activities, our Mother’s Day celebrations were a joyful glimpse into the beautiful bond children share with their mothers.

The campus came alive with candid moments of togetherness as mothers joined their children in creating memories, whether through playful interactions, creative keepsakes or simply being part of their world for the morning.

What stood out most was the excitement in our children’s eyes. The pride of performing, the joy of gifting something handmade and the happiness of celebrating the people who mean the most to them.

A heartfelt thank you to all the mothers who joined us and made the day so special with their warmth, enthusiasm and presence.
