भारत स्काउट्स एवं गाइड्स हिमाचल प्रदेश के राज्य मुख्य आयुक्त व उच्च शिक्षा निदेशक हिमाचल प्रदेश डॉ. अमरजीत कुमार शर्मा को स्काउटिंग आंदोलन में उत्कृष्ट सेवाओं के लिए संस्था की ओर से देश का सर्वोच्च सम्मान ‘सिल्वर एलीफेंट अवार्ड’ प्रदान किया गया। यह सम्मान आज 26 नवंबर को महामहिम राज्यपाल आनंदी बेन पटेल द्वारा राजभवन, लखनऊ, उत्तर प्रदेश में प्रदान किया गया।

डॉ. शर्मा के नेतृत्व में प्रदेश में स्काउटिंग गतिविधियों के विस्तार, प्रशिक्षण उन्नयन और युवा विकास को नई दिशा मिली है।

इस उपलब्धि पर हिमाचल प्रदेश का सम्पूर्ण स्काउट-गाइड परिवार गौरवान्वित है।
