These red ear slider or Cumberland Slider are not illegal bcoz it's not a native breed and it also doesn't come under CITES appendices.
But
Yes all the slider varities is an invasive species means u cannot release them in the nature if u cannot keep them after they grew big bcoz they can totally spoil the ecosystem.
