hole and were as usual discussing the good old days, the fondness of memories and the happiness in the meetings of alumni, the challenges of getting younger alumni involved. This discussions germinated an idea to Mr Ravi Sharma, a distinguished alumnus of IIT Roorkee and the brain behind SAAR (and Prama Jyoti) and this portal was created as an interactive technology enabled platform for current students, young and old alumni and faculty of IIT. In its programs SAAR seeks to make a meaningful and positive contribution to the less privileged students, opportunity to fly in the sky to the gifted ones and of course a constructive bridge between students, alumni and faculty of IITs. SAAR believes that irrespective of the wonderful manners these three entities interact within themselves, there is a huge opportunity to integrate three and create synergies and possibilities that are not fully leveraged today.
