Launched by the Government of India on October 10, 2022, it is a 24/7 toll-free helpline (14416) providing free, confidential, and nationwide digital mental health services, including counselling, psychotherapy, and psychiatric consultation, with support in over 20 languages.Key Features of Tele MANAS:Toll-Free Numbers: 14416 or 1-800-891-4416.Two-Tier System: Tier 1 consists of state-based counselors, and Tier 2 includes specialists at District Mental Health Programme (DMHP) or medical colleges.Goal: To strengthen mental healthcare services and reduce the treatment gap for mental health issues across India.
