When I heard the story of Gautam Buddha, my question was always about his wife and son that he left behind...
He left her in the middle of the night, the night their son was
born. When she heard the news
she was devastated.
Yet, she did not complain but her
life lost all meaning. The only
reason for her to live now was
her son. She wanted him to grow
up to be a man that the world
would look up to.
Her friends and relatives came
around and asked her to forget
about the man who had left her
and start life again.
They asked her to marry again
but she refused. She was young & beautiful & suitors queued up
outside her door, but she refused each one of them.
Then one fine day he came back !
He stood in front of her and she could hardly remember him as the man who had left her. They call you the Buddha now?” she asked him gently.
I hear they do,he answered in
a calm fashion.
What does it mean?she further inquired.
I think it means the enlightened one, a knower,he informed.
She smiled and then a silence.
I suppose we have both learned something. Your lessons O Buddha, will make the world richer in spirit, but my lesson will unfortunately remain largely unknown.
she reflected deeply....
And what lesson is that ? The Buddha probed.
Her eyes sparkled with unshed tears, “That a courageous woman does not need anyone to complete her..... SHE IS COMPLETE ON HER OWN

When we are unconscious and don't know what is going on within us on a feeling level, then we project and blame others.

We can't accept others for their natural expressions and natural ways of being.

In that deeply unconscious state, we feel ourselves to be superior somehow: i.e "more enlightened", "smarter than", "more advanced than", "more intelligent" than someone else.

Then, once we awaken to our feeling nature, we realize that what we don't accept in another is also within us. And so the inner-work then becomes to take it all within, and face and feel all our old shared collective wounds and pains.

Through this challenging and painful inner-deathing process, we learn to accept All parts of ourself.

And so we are deeply, deeply humbled.

Humble means that we stop believing and feeling we are so separate and so different than someone else.

We accept our innate humanity.

And so we can fully acknowledge and admit to our own flaws and our own mistakes.

In the next stage, we awaken to our authentic True Power and our heart-centered and courageous voice.

In this stage we can hold the space for others to be exactly as they are without needing to change them.

But we are Also conscious enough within our feeling nature to feel when another being is being harmed (which is not 'ego hurt'), and so we know when to speak out and take action if others are behaving unconsciously and being oppressive, suppressive, or violent (physically, verbally or emotionally) in some way.

In this way, we become the stewards of our planet.

We hold the space and accept and allow everyone to be as they are naturally and honor their uniqueness.

We model a new way of being through being a living example of what possible within ourself.

And simultaneously, through our powerful voice, we guide and we lead the way so to be the Creators of an evolved civilization that aligns with harmony and freedom for all beings.

This is the evolution of an evolved and truly "enlightened" human being.

We are here to embody the qualities of those we admire most in purity and wisdom NOW. ~
