International Women’s Day is observed globally on March 8 and celebrates the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. After all, an equal world is an enabled world.

: the earliest observance of Women’s Day was called ‘National Women’s Day’. It was held on February 28, 1909, in New York City. The Socialist Party of America organised it at the suggestion of activist Theresa Malkiel. However, the seeds were planted a year earlier. It was in 1975 when things became official as the ( ) started celebrating the day.
