On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Nirman in collaboration with S. M. Joshi Socialist Foundation organized a women’s gathering titled “𝙐𝙩𝙨𝙖𝙫 𝙎𝙖𝙫𝙞𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙝𝙮𝙖 𝙇𝙚𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙝𝙖” on 22 March 2026 at Satara, Maharashtra
The program began with a collective reading of the Preamble of the Constitution, reinforcing our shared commitment to equality and justice. Following that voices from the community truly stood out, young leaders from the Balika Panchayat and women’s group members shared their journeys, aspirations, and experiences, reflecting the spirit of grassroots empowerment.
A powerful highlight of the event was a tribute to Savitribai Phule, a pioneer of women’s education in India through a one-woman performance “𝗦𝗮𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗿𝗶 𝗕𝗼𝗹𝘁𝗲” by Prof. Sangharsha Usha Kamble.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from inspiring changemakers, women and girls across Nirman’s project areas and the entire team who made this celebration meaningful and inspiring.
